Midas

Had a piece rattling and scraping while driving. This place was diligent to make sure we found the issue and make sure that it was taken care of. Great people to work with!

Had brakes and rotors replaced here. The mechanic who worked on my car clearly explained the issue and the solution. They also performed a free inspection, and the report included pictures along with the estimated repair costs. While the price was a bit on the high side, they completed the job quickly. However, the manager or the person at the front desk was unprofessional. When I asked about the specific brand and type of brakes and rotors they were installing, he simply said they were "best quality" and refused to provide any further details. This was definitely a poor customer service experience.

I can't speak for every Midas location, but for this one location in Newport, I would highly recommend. I had exhaust work done on my vehicle and was so pleased with the service I had today, that I will be definitely returning soon to have my brakes done. They were up front about the pricing and did not try to upsell me and even push me into other services that I may need. And for the sales technician Sean Crouch that I dealt with today, he walked me through and explained everything that was being serviced on my vehicle today. 5 stars for sure.

Took my 26yo BMW in for strut replacement and also an alignment check. Brian was very communicative through the entire process, including the upfront part where Midas needed to order some special parts AND follow-up post-service. Work was completed quickly and thoroughly, appointment was helpful to have. The experience was professional and thorough.
